I Built a Bilingual SEO Foundation That Grew Boddibari from Zero to a Recognized Name in Bangladesh's Organic Hair Care Market
When Boddibari approached me, they had a strong product story — a 40-herb organic hair oil rooted in traditional Bengali “veshoj” formulation — but almost no organic visibility. The Bangladeshi hair care category online was dominated by chemical-product brands with deeper budgets and older domains. We had to build from zero.

How I Helped a New D2C Brand Compete with Established Players in the Bangladeshi Hair Care Market
I worked with Boddibari to build organic visibility from the ground up — not by chasing a few high-volume keywords, but by owning the conversation around natural hair care in Bangladesh across hundreds of long-tail queries that compound over time.
Most Bangladeshi e-commerce sites pick one language and lose half their market. I built Boddibari's content layer to serve both — Bangla-first articles for searchers using terms like চুল পড়া বন্ধ করার উপায় and এসেনশিয়াল হেয়ার অয়েল, English-first content for queries like "best organic hair oil in Bangladesh" and "coconut oil vs mustard oil for hair." Both feed the same product pages, doubling the surface area we could rank on.
Instead of writing thin keyword-targeted posts, I mapped out the full decision journey a Bangladeshi hair care buyer actually goes through — from "why is my hair falling out" to "what ingredients work" to "which brand should I trust." Each cluster has a pillar guide, supporting comparison posts (mustard vs coconut, organic vs chemical), problem-specific articles (dandruff, baldness, monsoon hair fall), and how-to content that links back to the relevant Boddibari product page. This is what turns a new domain into a topical authority Google trusts.
Cleaned up duplicate content from WooCommerce default tag and attribute pages, fixed mobile Core Web Vitals (most Bangladeshi traffic is on slower mobile networks), implemented Product, FAQ, and BreadcrumbList schema, and structured the sitemap so Google could crawl the bilingual content cleanly without seeing it as duplication.
I implemented automated review generation systems and reputation monitoring to maintain Reitzel's stellar online reputation and convert more prospects into customers.
Project Results & Impact
All figures below are pulled directly from Google Search Console, viewing the 16-month performance window from site launch through April 2026.
- 26,900 total organic clicks generated since launch
- 1.79M total impressions in Google search results
- Average position 5.7 — ranking on page one across the tracked keyword set
- 1.5% average CTR across all queries
- 240+ clicks per day at peak during the December–January seasonal high
- Daily organic clicks grew from 0 to 100+ as a sustained baseline within the first six months
- Boddibari ranks in the top 10 for primary commercial queries including organic hair oil and hair growth oil searches in Bangladesh
- The brand now appears in Bangla-language SERPs that previously showed only large pharma and FMCG brands
- Comparison and educational content (e.g. coconut oil vs mustard oil, top 5 organic hair oils, hair oil for dandruff) consistently pulls long-tail traffic
- Built a defensive moat of 50+ indexed articles that capture buyers earlier in the funnel than paid ads can
- Organic search became the brand's largest non-paid acquisition channel within the first year
- Reduced dependency on Facebook ads — the default acquisition channel for Bangladeshi D2C — by giving the brand a sustainable owned channel
- Built brand searches: people now search "Boddibari" and "Keshrani hair oil" by name, which is the clearest signal of brand recognition forming
Honestly, I was skeptical at first. We had tried boosting posts on Facebook before and got nothing out of it. But Abusayed came in with a completely different approach — he actually studied our product, our buyers, even the way people in Dhaka search for hair care in Bangla. Within three months we started seeing real traffic. By month six, customers were finding us on Google without any paid ads. Today Boddibari is something people recognize. I didn't expect SEO to feel this personal, but it did.
